We offer same day appointments for injured workers. To reduce your waiting time we do encourage patients to book appointments when possible. We can also provide an interpreter when required.
Sonic HealthPlus Karratha GP Super Clinic is a private billing practice. All consultations are to be paid for on the day. We accept cash, Visa, Mastercard and Eftpos. The practice bulk bills children under 16 and concession holders at the doctor’s discretion.

Home Visits
We can do home visits at the Doctors discretion however, consultation at the clinic is preferred as full equipment and nursing help is available. Home visits will not be scheduled if the request is not safe for the Doctor or unreasonable, for example if you request an after-hours home appointment.

Calling your GP
Your GP may not be able to take your call while busy with patients. Please let us know if it is urgent.
Test Results
If you would like to discuss your test results with your GP please make an appointment.
Specialist referrals
Referrals and repeat referrals must be done during a consultation with your GP.
Medical Certificates
It is important to see the GP on the day of your illness as medical certificates cannot be backdated.
Recalls and reminders.
Our clinic participates in a reminder system. We will recall your for preventative care and follow-up treatment.
This may be for annual check-ups, care plans and immunisations or recent follow ups advised by your GP.
Please advise the reception staff or doctor if you want to opt out.
In a populated residential and industrial area we provide professional general practice and occupational health services for you, your family, and your workforce.
Our services extend to include family medicine, women’s health, men’s health, drug and alcohol testing, employment medicals, immunisations, travel medicine and skin cancer screening.
Our team consists of five doctors who provide a professional medical service and are experts within their chosen medical field.

Appointment times are approximately 10 minutes – please tell the reception staff if you require a longer appointment time.
Every effort is made to attend to walk in patients with an urgent matter. However in some instances, it will be requested that you make an appointment at a later date and time to accommodate your needs.

Our experienced health team consists of five doctors, a physiotherapist, and three nurses who are supported by our experienced administration/screening team. Working together, our focus is on bringing a comprehensive medical service to the Karratha community. We live and work within the Pilbara region and understand the needs of the patients we see daily. Our service is significant in that we provide a general practice, occupational health and travel medicine service all from one location.
Dr Carolyn Valdez graduated as a general practitioner in the Philippines, and has been living in Karratha since 2007.
Dr Valdez is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP). Her interests include woman’s and children’s health, general medicine and mental health. She also performs occupational medical work and is an accredited UKOOA, AMSA and Vanuatu seafarer’s medical inspector.
Dr Valdez is a keen supervisor of the next generation of doctors and is a member of the UWA Rural Clinical School and John Flynn Placement Program.
Dr Lulu Ntloko was born and raised in South Africa and has worked in healthcare within Australia for the past 11 years. Previously working in Tasmania, the Wheatbelt and now the Pilbara, Dr Ntloko enjoys general practice as it exposes her to all fields of medicine. Dr Ntloko particularly enjoys her work within women’s health, psychosocial matters, paediatrics and adolescent medicine.
Tamsin joined Sonic HealthPlus in 2022 as a practice manager. Although being new to Health Care she has been in management for 6 years and has a strong background in customer service, she is confident in providing the best care to our clients. Tamsin leads an experienced and dedicated team who are committed to providing excellent customer service and patient care within Occupational Health and General Practice.
Originally from Thailand, Tira immigrated to Australia in 2001 and completed her studies as an enrolled nurse in 2010.
Tira has experience working in a number of different nursing roles in public and private hospitals, nursing homes and rehabilitation.
Tira joined the Karratha team in 2021 as a full time practice nurse.
She is an energetic and motivated nurse dedicated to delivering high quality patient care.
