Our Services

Onsite Drug and Alcohol Testing allows for flexibility when testing a workforce for drug and/or alcohol use.

Onsite Drug and Alcohol Testing is becoming increasingly popular with clients who are required to administer random tests to their workforce as part of employment contracts and Occupational Healthy and Safety Policy.

To ensure workers are fit for their daily employment duties, our team of certified collectors can conduct blanket, random or causal visits to your workplace.

Saliva Drug and Alcohol Testing

Saliva Drug and Alcohol Testing is an oral fluid (saliva) based test for illicit and prescription drug use, plus alcohol use or abuse. This test is simple and discrete, with results visually interpreted within seconds.

Urine Drug and Alcohol Testing

Urine Drug and Alcohol Testing is conducted in accordance with the clients OHS Protocols, with collection usually being supervised or witnessed by the collector.  Sonic HealthPlus collectors are all trained to provide this service in accordance with AS/NZS 4308:2008. This test is simple and effective, with results visually interpreted within minutes.

Depending on client needs, we can manage the confirmatory testing for non-negative results including GCMS and LCMS with results retuned as quickly as 48-hours.

Benefits of Instant Testing

Our instant testing services are NATA accredited (AS/NZ 4308:2008) and have a quick turnaround time for results. Instant testing offers a range of benefits including

  • Indicative non-negative or negative results in six class drugs including Methamphetamines, Cocaine, Marijuana, Opiates and Benzodiazepines
  • Four adulteration tests to assist in identifying result tampering
  • A self contained and integrated device that can easily be transported to pathology for confirmation services.

What is NATA accreditation?

The National Association of Testing Authorities (NATA) is the authority that provides independent assurance of technical competence through a proven network of best practice industry experts for customers who require confidence in the delivery of their products and services.

Sonic HealthPlus is one of the few providers who have achieved NATA accreditation for specimen collection, detection and quantitation of drugs of abuse in urine. Unlike certification, NATA accreditation focuses on overall compliance with systems and processes, rather than technical competence. It also provides you with the assurance that if required, the results will withstand legal challenge in Australian courts.
