The Sonic HealthPlus Pandemic Preparedness Team (PPT) recently recommended we suspend spirometry and saliva (oral fluid) drug testing services within our NSW clinics.
In light of the improving situation and having reassessed the risk, the PPT has recommended that all Pulmonary Function Testing can now be performed in candidates who are afebrile, and who have no symptoms of a viral illness.
Having reassessed the risk, our PPT has recommended that we recommence Spirometry and Saliva testing services in all of New South Wales from today, Monday 25 January, whilst observing the criteria above.
This applies to all upcoming appointments as well as those who were unable to have these components of their medical performed over the course of the last few months, who will now be recalled.
We would like to assure clients that we are monitoring the situation very closely and continually developing clinical protocols within our clinics that assist in protecting our staff, patients, clients and local communities.
