Julie Loveny and Sue Crock
Sue Crock has extensive experience as a teacher and social worker in mental health, education and community development, working with a diverse range of individuals, communities and organisations in Australia and the United Kingdom. She is an experienced trainer and facilitator and has developed accredited training in a range of community services' areas including health, aged care, disability and social housing. Sue’s recent work has included coordinating This FIFO Life, a website developed to support the mental health of long-distance commuters (Fly-in, Fly-out workers) and policy development in suicide prevention at the Western Australian Mental Health Commission. Sue has completed Trauma Risk Management (TRiM) Practitioner and Manager training and is committed to promoting these to workplaces in Australia as part of a range of best practice workplace mental health programs. Sue has lived experience of bereavement by suicide and caring for a person with severe mental illness and counts these amongst her richest, if most challenging experiences. She is a member of the Australian Association of Social Workers and the UK Psychological Trauma Society.
Julie Loveny qualified as a social worker in the UK before moving to Australia over 20 years ago. She has a background in counseling, is a trained mediator and established an award winning training organisation providing nationally recognized training across many industry and professional sectors. More recently she has specialised in managing trauma support, employee assistance and initiatives that promote mentally healthy workplaces. Julie is a Principal Advisor Workplace Mental Health with AVELING a large training provider in WA and is co-founder of This FIFO Life. She is also an accredited trainer with beyondblue.
Julie and Sue are also the Australian branch of March on Stress, a UK based organization whose founder Professor Neil Greenberg has developed high quality, evidence based workplace programs.
