Our team comprises doctors, registered nurses, physiotherapists, exercise physiologists and medical support staff who work together to ensure our patients receive the highest standard of care. Each working within their area of expertise, our team provide a holistic approach to the patients we see each day.

Dr Dave Cormack

Occupational Physician Registrar
BSc (Physics), BE, MBBS, MOHS

Occupational Physician Registrar, Dr Dave, has worked exclusively in occupational medicine since 2010, joining Sonic HealthPlus in 2014. Dr Dave has experience in all facets of occupational health including workplace injuries and return to work, employment medical assessments, occupational vaccinations and hazardous substance health surveillance. Currently training to specialise as an occupational physician through the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.

Dr Ingrid Muller

Occupational Physician Registrar
MBChB, Diploma in Sports Medicine, ACCAM, ASAM, DAME

Dr Ingrid is an Occupational Physician Registrar with the Australian Faculty of Occupational and Environmental Medicine. She graduated from the University of Pretoria, South Africa in 1988 with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery. Dr Ingrid spent the following 20 years working in various hospital departments and as a general practitioner in Cape Town and New Zealand before moving to Brisbane in 2008. She completed a Post-Graduate Diploma in Sports Medicine in 2001. Dr Ingrid is busy completing her Post-Graduate Diploma in Occupational Medicine, whilst also studying to become an Occupational Physician. Dr Ingrid started with Sonic HealthPlus in 2015 as an Occupational Physician Registrar and has obtained the Australian Certificate of Civil Aviation Medicine (ACCAM) in February 2015 and is a member of the Australasian Society of Aerospace Medicine (ASAM) and a Designated Aviation Medical Examiner (DAME).

Dr Michael McHutchison

Medical Practitioner

Dr Michael graduated from the University of Queensland in 2004. Since that time he has worked throughout Australia in emergency and remote medicine and has also developed his skills in occupational injury management. He plans on entering specialist training with the Australasian Faculty of Occupational and Environmental Medicine in 2017 and is currently studying for further degrees in bioethics and public health.

Dr Lars Lind

Medical Practitioner

Dr Lars graduated from University of Tasmania in 2008. After the completion of his studies Dr Lars worked in various locations around Australia in various fields of medicine, focusing on emergency and mental health. In the last three years Dr Lars has worked in occupational medicine and is planning to continue his career in this field.

Dr John Twomey

Medical Practitioner
MBBS, Grad Dip OH&S, FRACGP

Dr John is a graduate of University of Queensland and a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, he additionally has a Graduate Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety from Queensland University of Technology. Dr John has worked in general practice in Brisbane and also in New Zealand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan. Prior to commencing with Sonic HealthPlus, Dr John spent a decade doing rural and remote locum work in Queensland and the Northern Territory. Dr John joined Sonic HealthPlus in 2015 and cares for residents in a nursing home in addition to his role at Sonic HealthPlus Brisbane Airport.

Dr Norman Dawes

Medical Practitioner

Dr Dawes graduated from Birmingham University in the UK before embarking on a general practice career in Worcestershire. In addition to his general practice work, he undertook work in Emergency Medicine and Occupational Medicine, obtaining a Diploma in Occupational Medicine in 1997.

Dr Dawes migrated with his family to Australia in 2004 and settled in Mackay. He attained his Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2004 and became an Australian Citizen in 2006. He helped set up North Mackay Medical later to be renamed Occupational Health Alliance (now Sonic HealthPlus Mackay). He enjoys all aspects of general practice in addition to occupational medicine. 

Dr Matthew Brandt

Specialist Occupational and Environmental Physician
MBBS, Masters in Public Health, Masters in Occupational Health and Safety, Fellow of the Australasian Faculty of Occupational and Environmental Medicine (AFOEM)

Dr Matthew graduated with an MBBS from the University of Queensland Medical School in 1997. He is a Fellow (Specialist) of the Australasian Faculty of Occupational and Environmental Medicine (AFOEM) in active clinical practice and a part-time medical educator and lecturer at the University of Queensland School of Medicine, and examiner for AFOEM. Dr Matthew began with Sonic HealthPlus in 2010 and has worked at our Sonic HealthPlus Brisbane Airport clinic since opening day. Dr Matthew's interests include assessment of injury and illness causation, assisting with development of health standards for work and identification of suitable duties for workplaces, assisting stakeholders to plan and implement occupational rehabilitation, provision of medical opinion in regards workers' compensation insurance claims, permanent impairment assessment (AMA 4 and 5, GEPI), health surveillance and toxicology, and health education.

Dr Stephanie Wan

Medical Practitioner

Dr Stephanie graduated in medicine from University of Queensland in 2004. She then worked in various hospitals around Brisbane, focussing primarily on emergency medicine. She has worked in occupational medicine since 2015. Dr Stephanie commenced specialist training with the Australasian Faculty of Occupational and Environmental Medicine (AFOEM) in 2020 and is currently studying for a further degree in Occupational and Environmental Health.

Dr Ian Hadwen

Medical Practitioner

Dr Ian graduated in medicine from University of Queensland in 1974. He spent four years working at Royal Brisbane Hospital before commencing full time general practice. In 1998 he completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Occupational Medicine from Edith Cowan University (W.A.) and has been in full time practice in occupational medicine since then. His particular interests and experiences have been in medical assessments of workers in the Rail and Road Transport industries, and in injury management and the physical and psychological aspects of occupational rehabilitation.

Dr Haseeb Qureshi

Medical Practitioner

Dr Haseeb graduated in 2004. After few years of initial training in Pakistan, he relocated to Australia in 2008. Recently, Dr Haseeb finished his fellowship (FRACGP) from Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. Alongside Occupational Health, his other interests include injury management, general practice including chronic disease, paediatrics, work cover injuries, skin cancer surgery.

Dr Haseeb completed his DCH (Diploma in Child Health) from Westmead Hospital, Sydney in 2016 and Certificate in Skin Cancer Surgery from College of Skin Cancer Surgery, Australia. He is working towards his higher Qualifications in Skin Cancer Surgery. 

Dr David Imlah

Medical Practitioner
M.B.Ch.B., Dip.Occ.Med., A.F.O.M.

Dr David graduated from Aberdeen University in 1987. After graduating, he completed vocational training in general practice, before working in both the UK and Australia until 1997. Whilst working in general practice, he completed a Diploma in Occupational Medicine via the UK Faculty of Occupational Medicine. In 1996 he commenced additional work as a medical adviser for Workcover Queensland. He went on to attain two further post graduate qualifications in Occupational Medicine; an Advanced Diploma from the University of Manchester and Associate of the Faculty of Occupational Medicine in the UK. He has worked for the last 20 years in Occupational Medicine and is widely experienced in all facets of practice. He returned to Australia in 2004 and has worked full-time for a variety of Occupational Medical organisations. He is currently an appointed Independent Medical Examiner for Workcover Queensland.

Dr Khaled Nour

Medical Practitioner

Dr Khaled graduated from medical school in 1991, and has been fully registered as a medical practitioner in Australia since 2001. He had his post graduate training in Australia, in general practice and skin cancer, and worked in a public hospital for few years before joining the GP training in 2006, to became fellow of the college GP in 2008. Dr Khaled has worked in many rural hospitals, clinics, and refuges all over Australia, and is planning to join the OCC health training program. He has been working with Sonic HealthPlus since July 2019.

Dianna Roberts

Practice Manager

Dianna has 25 years experience within the medical industry holding positions including receptionist, operations and clinical management. Dianna has been with Sonic HealthPlus Brisbane Airport since 2012 and has a strong emphasis on customer service and providing high quality healthcare with a passion for Accreditation.

Hee Chung

Physiotherapist, Bachelor of Physiotherapy

Hee graduated from University of Otago (New Zealand) with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy in 2011. Hee moved to Australia in 2012 and started working with Sonic HealthPlus, as well as in private practice. Hee has experience in various musculoskeletal injuries including sporting, workplace, motor vehicle accidents, post-operative rehab, clinical pilates, cervicogenic headache treatment, vestibular rehab, pre-employment screenings (musculoskeletal, fitness, functional capacity evaluation). Hee’s main treatment techniques involve manual therapy techniques combined with dry needling and exercise prescription, with a strong focus on developing early self-management techniques for the individual patient.

Rebecca Hollindale

Physiotherapist, Bachelor of Physiotherapy

Rebecca graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy and has completed further studies in dry needling and spinal physio, and is a qualified clinical pilates instructor. Rebecca provides treatment for a variety of clinical presentations including WorkCover, Injury net, CTP, orthopaedic, sports, vestibular, neck-related headaches and women's health.

Jesse Saifoloi

Physiotherapist

Jesse graduated from Australian Catholic University with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy in 2017. Since graduating, Jesse has worked in private practice and occupational health clinics. Jesse is skilled in treating a variety of musculoskeletal injuries and conditions, including tennis elbow, whiplash, back and neck strain, ankle sprains and knee injuries. Jesse's main focus of rehabilitation is to provide hands on treatment, education and exercise prescription in order to enable patients to return to their job specific roles in a timely fashion. 

Lisa Catingub

Registered Nurse

Lisa has over 16 years' experience working as a registered nurse and has experience across a wide range of specialties including surgical, orthopaedic, cardiac and general medical. Lisa also worked for a number of years with the Red Cross blood service and enjoys providing high quality healthcare to both individuals and families

Sean Ballard

Sean has a broad knowledge in all aspects related to health and the human body and performs musculoskeletal screening as a risk assessment tool for pre-employment medicals, injuries within the workplace, and employee fitness for specific working environments.
