We offer same day and/or walk-in appointments for injured workers. A short wait may be required for walk-in appointments, but please be assured our team will endeavour to see you as soon as possible.
Parking & Public Transport
Our clinic is situated on Kewdale Road within Kewdale Central shopping complex.
Serviced by Perth’s public transport system, our clinic can be reached via the Thornlie bus line and also provides handy no-charge, on-site car parking for drivers.
We have allocated disabled car parking and our clinic is wheelchair accessible. If you require any assistance getting to our clinic, please do not hesitate to contact our friendly administration team.

About Our Clinic
Sonic HealthPlus Kewdale is conveniently situated within the Kewdale Shopping Complex on Kewdale Road. We provide services to support the health and wellbeing of Western Australia’s workforce.
Working alongside one of Australia’s leading providers of occupational healthcare, our services include drug and alcohol testing, employment and specialised medicals, injury management and prevention, and immunisations for your workforce.
Extending our service further, we also provide travel advice and vaccinations for workers departing or returning from overseas business trips.
Our clinic is supported by the passion and knowledge of our experienced medical team. With highly trained occupational physicians, our patients receive individualised and accurate health care for all of their workplace health requirements.

Dr Aruna Chandran
Medical Practitioner
Dr. Aruna Chandran is a medical practitioner providing occupational medical services at Sonic Health plus, Kewdale since 2017, after working for over 15 years in the field of Emergency Medicine in Australia providing tertiary, rural, remote and retrieval RFDS services. Dr. Chandran has special interest in injury management, employment related risk assessment and the provision of rural and remote site medical services.

Dr Keith Lui
Medical Practitioner
Dr Lui has worked in occupational medicine for about 10 years. He works part-time at the Sonic HealthPlus Kewdale clinic providing employment medical assessments, including rail and commercial driving examinations, and treating injured workers. He graduated from the University of Western Australia in 1998, has a PhD, and was formerly an Assistant Professor at UWA’s School of Population Health. As such, his style of medical practice attempts to be evidence-based. He is the proud father of two boys.

Dr Corné de Jager
Occupational Physician Registrar
Dr Corné de Jager is an Occupational Physician Registrar at Sonic Healthplus Kewdale. Dr de Jager obtained his medical degree in 2005 through the University of Stellenbosch (South Africa) and also completed degrees in BSc Psychology, MBA as well as a Postgraduate diploma in Occupational Health. Over the years he has obtained extensive clinical experience in the public as well as private healthcare environments, taking on roles including Medical Officer, General Practitioner and General Medicine Registrar. Dr de Jager enjoys dealing with the various aspects of Occupational Medicine and has a special interest in injury management and health surveillance. He is certified as an Independent Medical Examiner by ABIME and performs Rail and OGUK medicals.

Medical Practitioner
He qualified for MBBS in 1975 and as a General Surgeon in 1981 from Madras University in India.
He had extensive experience in South Africa for over three decades. He is also trained in Paediatric Surgery. He has vast experience in treating Occupational Injuries. He is also AHP for rail medicals, all pre-employment Medicals and transport medicals.

Senior Physiotherapist
Emma Nelson is a Physiotherapist who graduated from Charles Sturt University in 2010 and has also obtained a Graduate Certificate in Sports Physiotherapy through La Trobe University. Emma has been part of the team since 2016 and is involved with Injury management of patients and the Physical Assessments of candidates for their medicals at Sonic Health Plus.

Senior Physiotherapist
Richard Ingram is one of our Physiotherapists with experience across many our Western Australian clinics since 2014. Richard completed his BSc in Physiotherapy in 2010 and performs varied Physiotherapy services including Physiotherapy treatment, injury management, rehabilitation and pre-placement medicals assessments.

Immunisations
Safe and efficient, immunisations are a significant health intervention against preventable disease. Sonic HealthPlus provides a range of immunisations including influenza, tetanus and hepatitis.
Injury Management and Prevention
Injured workers have immediate access to a range of medical personnel to ensure an integrated and prompt recovery with optimal outcomes for both the employee and employer. Our doctor’s work alongside allied health professionals and are experts in treating and returning injured workers back to the workplace as soon as it is safe to do so.
