Sonic HealthPlus Laverton North has a dedicated team of professionals who have one goal; providing high-quality and accurate health care to the Laverton North community.
Our team includes nine doctors, two nurses and one exercise physiologist who are all supported by a high-quality administration team.
While we all have our own roles to play, we work together to ensure the successful operating of our clinic.
Dr Roy Wilkinson is an occupational physician and has been with Sonic HealthPlus since 2009. He completed his degree through Melbourne University in 1977 and has a particular interest in occupational medicine and injury management.
Dr Wilkinson enjoys the variety of cases he sees every day at our Sonic HealthPlus Laverton North clinic.
Dr Rahgozar obtained his Doctorate in Medicine (MD) in 1995 and has worked for almost 20 years in general medicine, including over 8 years in the field of occupational and environmental medicine. This includes pre-placement and periodical medical examinations, injury management, occupational health surveillance, drugs and alcohol management, fitness for duty and medico-legal reporting.
As well as clinical practice, Dr Rahgozar has an interest in renal medicine and nephrotoxicity of occupational exposures, with a number of publications in peer reviewed journals and proceedings of scientific conferences.
Dr Chung Chee is an occupational medicine registrar who has been at Sonic HealthPlus since July 2012. Dr Chee completed a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery in 2009 and a Graduate Diploma in Occupational and Environmental Health in 2014. Dr Chee performs work injury assessments, return to work planning, pre-employment medicals and enjoys having opportunities to understand the ground operations of the various industries she works with.
Dr Michael Henderson’s background is in general practice with a special interest in occupational health. Having worked in occupational health for over 20 years, Dr Henderson is highly trained and performs injury management and health assessments with an interest in skin cancer management, travel medicine, underwater and expedition medicine. Dr Henderson graduated from the University of Adelaide in 1974 and has worked in various locations including South Africa, United Kingdom and Papua New Guinea. In addition to his work at Sonic HealthPlus Laverton North, Dr Henderson practices in a specialised primary care skin cancer facility and works in an advisory role for WorkSafe Victoria.
Dr Caaren Chin has been an occupational health doctor at our Sonic HealthPlus Laverton North Clinic since November, 2015. Dr Chin studied Medicine at the University of Melbourne – graduating in 2004, and performs pre-employment medical assessments, drug and alcohol testing, industrial health surveillance programs, injury management and return to work planning for our clients. Dr Chin particularly enjoys workplace health management and occupational medicine.
Dr Kah Heng Lee is an occupational physician registrar at Sonic HealthPlus Laverton North. After completing his medical studies, Dr Lee embarked on a career in occupational healthcare and has worked with ExxonMobil, Dow Chemical, Quenos, and now Sonic HealthPlus. Dr Lee has completed additional studies and is registered with the Australasian Faculty of Occupational and Environmental Medicine. Working in this discipline since 2012, Dr Lee is experienced and enjoys all facets of occupational healthcare.
Dr Jim Tan has been working in occupational health for over eight years. He has extensive experience in work-related conditions and their management. Dr Tan graduated from Monash University in 1995 and undertook a Graduate Diploma in Occupational Health which he completed in 2008.
Renee has been with Sonic HealthPlus for over six years. First starting as a receptionist, Renee has worked her way up to be the clinic 2IC and performs results management. Renee oversees the administration team to ensure a high quality of service is provided to our clients at reception.
Kaye Meyer is our enrolled nurse and has been with Sonic HealthPlus since 2009. Kaye has graduated as a registered nursing aide through the Nurses College Toorak and St Vincent’s Hospital in 1978. Kaye is a senior nurse responsible for screening for medicals, Q Fever screening, ECG, venepuncture, audio and spirometry testing. With a special interest in Q Fever and travel medicine, Kay enjoys meeting new people and working alongside our close team.
Charlene graduated from Victoria University in 2009 with an enrolled nurse and medication endorsement. She joined Sonic HealthPlus Laverton North in May, 2016 as a nurse and medical screener.
Charlene has been working in the occupational health environment for the last six years and has a professional and positive attitude to the patients she sees each day. Charlene works alongside our doctors and performs medical screening work at our busy clinic.
Casey Morrison is the Laverton North Clinic’s Exercise Physiologist. Casey graduated from Victoria University with a Double Degree in Exercise Science and Human Movement and Psychology.
Away from the clinic, Casey is currently studying a Diploma of Exercise Studies at Charles Sturt University and next year, hopes to undertake a Masters in Exercise Physiology. Casey is passionate about occupational health, injury management and encouraging clients to lead a healthy and active lifestyle.
At Sonic HealthPlus Laverton North, Casey delivers professional and efficient medical health screening including fitness and musculo-skeletal assessment, executive health evaluations and general administration duties as required. Casey enjoys working within a fantastic team of doctors, nurses and reception staff at Laverton North.
