The team at Sonic HealthPlus Perth Airport consists of two doctors, one nurse and three occupational health technicians who work together to deliver our high quality health care service.
With everyone working within their own area of expertise, we provide an all-encompassing approach to occupational healthcare and ensure the requirements and expectations of our patients are exceeded.
Trained in Perth, Dr Craig White is a specialist occupational and environmental physician in the Perth Airport clinic. Additionally, Dr White is the regional medical officer for Western Australia and South Australia within Sonic HealthPlus. Dr White is trained to focus on the evidence-based effects of work on health, and conversely health on work. With extensive knowledge on environmental medicine, Dr White understands and engages in prevention, research, investigation, assessment and treatment for human health impacts on the environment.
Dr White is a designated Aviation Medical Examiner (CASA) and a Certified Medical Review Officer (MRO). In addition to this, Dr White is a WorkCover approved medical specialist (AMS) and is certified as an Independent Medical Examiner (IME) by the American Board of Independent Medical Examiners.
Dr White holds memberships of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, Australasian Society of Aerospace Medicine, Australian and New Zealand Society of Occupational Medicine and Australasian Medical Review Officers Association.
Dr Sandy de Silva is an occupational physician registrar and brings postgraduate clinical experience in the public health system, including two years working within emergency medicine, to our Perth Airport clinic. Her experience within occupational medicine extends across work place injury management, rehabilitation and return to work programs, pre-placement and periodical medical assessments and travel medicine consultations.
Dr de Silva also offers comprehensive fitness for work assessments and health surveillance assessments, she is a designated medical inspector for seamen with the Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA), and is an authorised health professional for rail medical assessments. Additionally, Dr de Silva is an affiliated practitioner with InjuryNET.
Sarah is the Enrolled Nurse at Sonic Healthplus Perth Airport.
She has been a nurse for 3 years with extensive experience in the Aged Care sector and Phlebotomy at the Australian Red Cross Blood Service. She has also worked as a nurse in the Community and a Case manager for the elderly through 2015-2016 . She has a passion for wound care and client advocacy.
Sarah is qualified to perform audiometry, spirometry, drug and alcohol screening, travel vaccines/medicine, immunisations, triage, wound care and ECG's.
Elvina has a wide range of experience with the company and has worked with Sonic HealthPlus for over six years. Elvina is qualified to perform both audiometry and spirometry as well as basic screening and drug testing.
Chelsie started at the Perth Airport clinic in 2015 as a part of the administration team. Since then, she has transitioned to an Occupational Technician. Chelsie has successfully completed training which qualifies her to conduct medical screening, Work Cover Audiometry, Spirometry, ECG as well as NATA accredited urine drug testing and collection.
