Our team at Sonic HealthPlus South Hedland provides a range of general practitioner, occupational health and travel services to patients within Western Australia. Specialising in diabetes diagnoses and management, immunisation and travel medicine, employment medicals, injury management, women’s health, men’s health, and skin checks; our services extend with in-clinic physiotherapist and psychologist appointments available (by referral). The Sonic HealthPlus South Hedland team also offers strategic ‘quit smoking’ programs which our qualified staff manage in-house.
We are dedicated to supporting our South Hedland community. We are conveniently located within the South Hedland public transport network with several bus stops on Hamilton Road.
We have parking available with allocated disabled parking at the front of our building.
We offer same day and/or walk-in appointments for injured workers. A short wait may be required for walk-in appointments, but please be assured our team will endeavour to see you as soon as possible.

Please ring (08) 9172 5911 for an appointment. Every effort will be made to accommodate your preferred time; however emergencies will be given priority.
Appointment times are approximately 15 minutes – please tell the reception staff if you require more time. Every effort is made to attend to walk in patients with an urgent matter. However in some instances, it will be requested that you make an appointment at a later date and time to accommodate your needs.
We can do home visits if necessary. However, consultation at the clinic is preferred as full equipment and nursing help is available. Any difficulties with transport should be discussed with the receptionist.
If you have a problem we would like to hear about it. Please feel free to talk to your doctor or receptionist. You may prefer to write to us or contact the Clinic Manager, on (08) 9172 5911. We take concerns, suggestions and complaints very seriously and will deal with any matters that come to us. All complaints will be followed up and in writing if requested.

Sonic HealthPlus South Hedland is a mixed billing practice. All consultations are to be paid for on the day. We accept cash, Visa, Mastercard and Eftpos. The practice bulk bills children under 16 and concession holders at the doctor’s discretion. Our clinic participates in national, state and territory recall and reminder systems, please advise if you do not wish to be registered in the reminder system. We will recall you for preventative care and follow-up treatment if required. Please advise the reception staff or doctor if you do not wish to be involved in the practice systems.
Our clinic policy is that all results are not to be given via telephone. If you would like to discuss your results with your doctor please make an appointment with the reception staff as they will be more than happy to assist.
If you wish to discuss something with our nursing staff, your call will be attended to as quickly as possible. If the nurse is unavailable at the time of your call, we will phone you back at our first available opportunity.
