Congratulations South Hedland
The Port Hedland Chamber of Commerce Business of the Year Awards is an annual event held to formally recognise and reward the success of small to medium sized businesses in the town of Port Hedland.
Sonic HealthPlus South Hedland was nominated for the category ‘Best Business with 11 – 20 Employees’, and received a further nomination of ‘Employee of the Year’ when clinic manager, Jo Potts, nominated 2IC Cherie Brooks for her loyalty and commitment to the team.
With their nominations, the team was required to complete a portfolio carefully addressing selection criteria under the following categories ‘Products and Services’, ‘Marketing’, ‘Staffing’, ‘Vision’, and ‘Customer Care’. Their application for the ‘Best Business with 11 – 20 Employees’ totalled over 4000 words, with the ‘Employee of the Year’ submission in excess of 1400 words.
To receive a nomination in both of these categories was humbling for the team at South Hedland and was more overwhelming when, weeks before the presentation night, they received a notification from the Chamber of Commerce informing the clinic they were finalists in both of their categories.
The 2016 PHCCI Business of the Year Awards presentation night was on Saturday, 27 August, 2016 and was a highly anticipated night for the team. Attended by Sonic HealthPlus CEO, Greg Hutchinson, Western Australia Area Manager, Sharon Moyser and the South Hedland team, the night was one of great celebration with the South Hedland team winning in both of their categories.
A big congratulations to the team at Sonic HealthPlus South Hedland on winning the Best Business for 11 – 20 Employees, and an individual congratulations to Cherie Brooks for her win in the Employee of the Year category. This formal recognition is a testament to the work you perform as a team and we are all proud to celebrate your wins with you.
