Dr Tim Knowles

Dr Tim Knowles first started with Sonic HealthPlus in January 2008 and is a general practitioner and occupational health doctor at our clinic. As a Senior Dr with Sonic HealthPlus, Dr Knowles brings extensive knowledge and support to the team. Dr Knowles' special interest is in the area of family medicine, occupational health, and travel health.

Dr Kiran Balasa

Dr Kiran Balasa has been with the Sonic HealthPlus Mandurah team since 2007. He is a general practitioner and occupational health doctor at our clinic and has a special interest in men’s health, children's health, minor orthopaedic medicine, excisions, and skin cancers.

Dr Sophie Hopkins

Dr Sophie Hopkins has worked at our clinic for over seven years. Dr Hopkins is a general practice doctor and an occupational health doctor with a strong interest in chronic disease management, women's health, family medicine, minor trauma and minor skin excisions.

Dr Sonia Singh

Dr Sonia Singh has worked with our team since 2012. Dr Sonia Singh has a strong interest in general medicine, minor procedures, and minor skin excisions. Dr Singh has received advanced training and is skilled in all aspects of women's health including implanon device insertion, antenatal health and general management of women’s health and wellbeing.

Dr Birender Singh

Dr Birender Singh joined our team in 2012 and brings extensive experience in general medicine and children's health. He is a general practitioner and occupational health doctor. Additionally, Dr Singh has an interest in skin cancer management and in performing skin checks.

Dr Adele Thomas

Dr Adele Thomas is a Family Practitioner for over 50 years. Her special interests are Women’s and Mental Health, and Seniors Care. Dr Thomas leads an adventurous life with her husband, which includes kayaking, swimming, cycling and tornado chasing. She enjoys quilting and time with her grandchildren. Dr Thomas and her husband are Passionate Retirees. They speak to groups, run workshops and run blogs. In February 2022, they upsized, from inner city Perth to beautiful Dawesville. Her passion for general practice makes retirement difficult. Two days per week allows her to balance her work with enjoying the beauty of Mandurah.

Velicia Le Tang

Velicia Le Tang commenced as the Rockingham Clinic Manager in September 2019.

Velicia's previous roles have been long term roles in the Goldfields. This includes the Kalgoorlie Health Campus – WACHS Goldfields Mental Health Service – in a project/administrative/quality improvement role – and the Goldfields Midwest Medicare Local/Esperance GP Network, focusing on the needs of the community in a business management role.

Velicia also holds a Diploma in Business & Management and is currently undertaking a Diploma in Human Resources.

Administration Team

Our frontline team are available to help you with your queries and anything you may require whilst at our clinic. The team are dedicated to providing a high level of customer service and will be able to point you in the right direction with any queries regarding general practice and occupational healthcare. Our administration team work closely with clinical staff to ensure the smooth running of all aspects in the clinic.

Nursing Team

Our nursing team have a keen passion for providing quality healthcare, especially to children and the elderly. Each of them has extensive knowledge and experience in children's vaccinations and travel vaccines. They can provide health assessments and take a very keen interest in wound care, for which they have received extensive training.

Medical Screeners

Sonic HealthPlus Mandurah has a brilliant team of highly skilled medical screeners. They have both been qualified audiometric officers at our clinic for over four years. Our medical screeners conduct the initial collection of general patient information, and assist doctors with pre and post spirometry and audiometry assessments.
