We offer same day and/or walk-in appointments for injured workers. A short wait may be required for walk-in appointments, but please be assured our team will endeavour to see you as soon as possible.

There is plenty of on-site parking available outside our clinic and we are well serviced with a range of public transport options within walking distance.
About Our Clinic
Sonic HealthPlus Canning Vale has a professional and knowledgeable team consisting of three doctors, two physiotherapists and friendly support staff all based on-site at our clinic.
Our priority is to provide our patients with a high standard of care from experienced health professionals. As a combined occupational health and general practice clinic, we are skilled in managing the health requirements of the Canning Vale community.
Our occupational health services include injury management and prevention, employment medicals, drug and alcohol testing, corporate travel medicine, advice, and immunisations.
Our service is extended further through our exceptional general practice division with dedicated medical professionals who provide advice and management on chronic diseases, men’s health, family medicine and more.
Bookings and Appointments
Please ring (08) 9455 2403 for (Occupational Health) or (08) 9256 5858 for (General Practice) for an appointment. Every effort will be made to accommodate your preferred time; however emergencies will be given priority.
Appointment times are approximately 10 minutes – please tell the reception staff if you require a longer appointment time.
Every effort is made to attend to walk in patients with an urgent matter. However in some instances, it will be requested that you make an appointment at a later date and time to accommodate your needs.
Your Rights
If you have a problem we would like to hear about it. Please feel free to talk to your doctor or receptionist. You may prefer to write to us or contact the Clinic Manager, on (08) 9455 2403. We take concerns, suggestions and complaints very seriously and will deal with any matters that come to us. All complaints will be followed up and in writing if requested.

Fees and Billing
Sonic HealthPlus Canning Vale is a private billing practice. All consultations are to be paid for on the day. We accept cash, Visa, Mastercard and Eftpos. The practice bulk bills children under 16 and concession holders at the doctor’s discretion. Should you be eligible, please bring your Medicare Card, Concession Card or Veterans Affairs card to each consult. Medical record requests have a fee attached.

Meet Our Team
Dr Danny Sader
Medical Practitioner
Graduating from the University of Western Australia in 1995, Dr Sader is a locally trained vocationally general practitioner with over 20 years experience in medicine. Dr Sader has a strong interest in occupational medicine and has been working within the occupational health industry for over 15 years.
Dr Mohan Chandran
Medical Practitioner
Dr Chandran is a vocational general practitioner with over 20 years’ experience in medicine. After graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from India in 1990 he worked within various hospital departments before moving to Malaysia where he commenced work as a GP. Dr Chandran relocated to Australia and has completed his international membership with the Royal College of General Practitioners and is a Fellow of Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.
Dr Chandran has a special interest in occupational health and travel medicine, completing additional training to obtain his Post Graduate Certificate in Civil Aviation Medicine in 2000 and a Post Graduate Diploma in Family Medicine in 2007.
Dr Chandran is also a Designated Aviation Medical Examiner (DAME) for CASA and is an Accredited Health Professional with the ability to perform rail medicals and work place health surveillance.
Dr Shanker Shetty
Medical Practitioner
Dr Shetty graduated with his medicine degree in 1988 and has been working as a general practice doctor in both hospital and clinic settings for the past 27 years. Developing a special interest in occupational health, Dr Shetty has been with Sonic HealthPlus for over 10 years. Dr Shetty enjoys workplace injury management and has been servicing the health requirements of Perth’s workforce for the past 10 years in this capacity.

Physiotherapist
Ray graduated from Curtin University’s School of Physiotherapy, Western Australia in 1999. He developed his passion for occupational and industrial health very early on, working with a physiotherapy group that specialised in work related injury prevention, management and rehabilitation. Through this role Ray gained valuable experience which became the platform for his special interest in occupational health. Working with Sonic Health Plus for over 14 years his senior physiotherapist position sees him working in injury assessment, treatment and prevention.

Our doctors perform detailed and individualised health assessments to evaluate a patient’s health status and to identify a plan of care. Safe and efficient, immunisations are a significant health intervention against preventable disease. Sonic HealthPlus provides a range of immunisations including influenza, childhood immunisations, tetanus and hepatitis.

Drug and Alcohol Testing
Drug and alcohol testing has been shown to improve productivity and help employers support workers who struggle with substance abuse.
Employment Medicals
Employment Medicals are performed to ensure an employee is fit to work in a specific environment. This comprehensive medical ensures the employee can fulfil the requirements of the role and will identify and protect the employee from potentially harmful work environments.
Injury Management and Prevention
Injured workers have immediate access to a range of medical personnel to ensure an integrated and prompt recovery with optimal outcomes for both the employee and employer. Our doctor’s work alongside allied health professionals and are experts in treating and returning injured workers back to the workplace as soon as it is safe to do so.
Physiotherapy
Our skilled physiotherapists assist patients in the treatment and management of all occupational health injuries and ailments including workforce induced neck and shoulder pain, headaches, workplace injuries and other various body complaints. Our physiotherapist is skilled in musculoskeletal disorders and utilise massage, exercise, mobilisation and manipulation techniques to assist in pain management, treatment and injury rehabilitation.

Travel Medicine
In partnership with one of Australia’s largest travel medicine providers, Travelvax, we can provide you and your workforce with a range of travel vaccinations, travel accessories and travel health plans. Our clinic is government accredited to provide yellow fever vaccinations. We can provide you with a range of vaccines, including the yellow fever vaccine, and international certificate of vaccination in accordance with international health regulations.
