Dr Mark Kent is a Perth born and educated General Practitioner. He graduated from The University of Western Australia in 1986. After 5 years of hospital-based experience and further training, including Paediatrics, Orthopaedics, Anaesthetics and Psychiatry, he entered General Practice in 1990 where he has remained, working full-time ever since. After initial Practice in Bayswater and Sorrento he settled at Perth Medical Centre in the Perth CBD for the next 17 years. In 2007 he moved into his current premises on Hay Street. In addition to General Practice, his ongoing interests include Skin cancer surveillance and treatment, Travel Medicine, Corporate Medicine and Corporate Health provision, management of sports injuries, management of work related injuries, recreational and commercial diving medicine. He is an Aviation doctor and a CASA DAME and an examiner for Danish, Norwegian and OGUK maritime medicals. His personal passion is recreational diving, both within Australia and abroad.
Dr Lisa Surman graduated from the University of Western Australia in 1985. She commenced general practice in the northern suburbs after gaining experience in various WA hospitals including Princess Margaret Hospital for Children, King Edward Maternity Hospital and delivering babies at Swan Districts Hospital. She has worked fulltime in the Perth CBD for the past 16 years after returning from six years working in Brunei where she gained experience in Travel and Tropical medicine and the needs of expatriate workers. Lisa enjoys all aspects of General Practice including shared antenatal care, menopause and women’s health and has a Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. She also has an interest in Skin cancer surveillance and treatment, Diving Medicine and is an examiner for both recreational and commercial diving medicals as well as Danish, Norwegian and OGUK Maritime medicals. Her time spent overseas led to an interest and experience in Travel Medicine and the management of expatriate workers.
Katie joined the Sonic HealthPlus team in 2013. In her time with the company, Katie has moved from Clinic Administration, to Occupational Health Technician roles, to holding the role of Clinic 2IC. This experience gave Katie a broad knowledge of all levels of Sonic HealthPlus services, as well as the Occupational Health sector. In 2019, she became Clinic Manager at the Hay Street Perth clinic. Thriving on change, Katie is always seeking out improvements and encouraging new ideas.
Dr Mandy Croft graduated from the University of Western Australia in 1990 and spent 5 years working in Perth teaching hospitals, gaining a broad range of experience. She completed the General Practitioner training programme and obtained her Fellowship of the Royal College of GP's in 1997.
Dr Croft has mainly worked in suburban Genral Practice since then, but also for a time in sexual health and palliative care clinics. Since joining this practice in 2011, she has maintained her love of the variety that general practice provides and the opportunity to promote preventative medicine.
She also enjoys occupational medicine and is an examiner for Danish, Norwegian, OGUK and Rail worker medicals as well as recreational Scuba dive examinations.
Dr Elizabeth Kerr was born and raised in the Murchison region of Western Australia. She completed her medical degree, early Hospital and General Practice training, and a Diploma of Obstetrics and Gynaecology both locally and in country Western Australia before working in the UK for two years.
Dr Kerr ran her own General Practice in Shoalwater for the next twenty years, delivering babies at the local Hospitals, raising her own family, participating in the local Division of General Practice as a Board Member for several years and completing a Royal Australian General Practice Fellowship.
Since moving back to Perth, Dr Kerr has worked at Murdoch University Health Campus, Peel Hospital Emergency Department, maintained a strong interest and participation in Sports Medicine and has now been based in Perth CBD for several years as a GP and as a GP in the drs4drs program.
Dr Sally Partington graduated in 1981 from Aberdeen University having first completed a degree in Microbiology from Trinity College Dublin. She lived and worked as a GP in the Sultanate of Oman for 7 years before moving to Perth 16 years ago. Dr Partington has worked as a GP in Aboriginal Heath and Sexual Health at Royal Perth Hospital. Sally has also worked in women's health at the Royal Flying Doctor Service. She enjoys all of general practice but has particular interests in women's health (including antenatal care and the menopause), sexual health, PrEP prescribers, tropical medicine and travel health.
Dr Kelly Houwen is a locally trained General Practitioner. She graduated from the University of Western Australia in 2011. She gathered experience in top WA hospitals including Fremantle Hospital and King Edward Memorial Hospital, before focusing on family medicine. Kelly has worked as a General Practitioner in Perth suburbs for several years. She is interested in many aspects of General Practice medicine with particular interests in shared antenatal care, women's health, adolescent and youth health.
