Appointments
We offer same day and/or walk-in appointments for specific services, including injury management. A short wait may be required for walk-in appointments, however our team will endeavour to see you as soon as possible.
Parking & Public Transport
Our clinic is serviced by a train line linking Joondalup to the Perth CBD and Clarkson, and is reachable via the free CAT bus from Fremantle and Perth.
Our clinic offers allocated disabled car parking, and we are located on the ground floor for easy access.
About Our Clinic
Sonic HealthPlus Joondalup is an occupational health clinic servicing the needs of both employees and employers in Western Australia.
With specialised occupational health doctors our services extend to injury management and prevention, employment medicals, drug and alcohol testing, immunisations, and skin screening.
Our doctors have received additional training in travel medicine and provide reliable advice and vaccinations for persons to travel throughout the world. We are yellow fever accredited and can perform both the immunisation and provide legal documentation for immunisation status.
Our purpose-built facility enables our doctors to provide our high quality level of health care. With fully functioning treatment rooms we offer our patients honest, reliable and affordable medical care when they need it most.
Our team members are passionate in supporting the health and wellbeing of your most important asset, your workforce. Trained within occupational healthcare, our doctors are skilled in all aspects relating to workplace health. Supported by our efficient nurses, medical screeners, and administration team, we work together to provide our high level of service to your workers. Both doctors perform AMSA medicals

Dr Arul Manivasagam
Medical Practitioner
Dr Arul Manivasagam has recently joined the Sonic HealthPlus team in Joondalup with 5 years’ experience in Occupational Health. His areas of interest include Musculoskeletal and skin cancer screening.
Dr Charles McKibbin
General Practitioner – Senior Medical Consultant
Dr Charles McKibbin is a General Practitioner with a primary interest in occupational health and dermatology (including general/cosmetic dermatology and skin cancer medicine). He currently runs the Primary Care Dermatology Clinic at the Joondalup Drive Medical Centre where he performs skin cancer checks and minor skin surgeries.
Dr McKibbin graduated in 2005 with a degree in Medicine (MBChB) and Molecular and Cellular Biology (BSc[MedSci]) from the Universities of Dundee and Glasgow, respectively. In 2011, he completed his General Practitioner training (MRCGP) in Scotland, and worked in Ireland, before immigrating to Australia where he gained a Fellowship with the RACGP. Since then, he has gained additional qualifications in skin cancer medicine, aesthetic medicine and general dermatology from the University of Queensland and Bond University. He also been recognised for his Extended Skills in Dermatology by the RACGP.
Outside of medicine, Dr McKibbin enjoys boating, the AFL and traveling.
Dr Ross Haston
General Practitioner – Senior Medical Consultant
Dr Ross Haston has been with Joondalup Drive since emigrating from Scotland in February 2012. He graduated from the University of Glasgow in 2004 and pursued further studies primarily in Orthopaedics and Plastic Surgery, earning his MRCS in 2007. Dr Haston’s particular interests within General Practice include skin cancer screening, minor procedures, Orthopaedics, and occupational health. Outside of work and spending quality time with his young family, Ross enjoys participating in CrossFit, playing soccer, and watching AFL and tennis.
Dr John Crawford
General Practitioner
Dr John Crawford is the founder of the Joondalup Drive clinic. He graduated from the University of Western Australia in 1980 and has been practicing General Medicine for over 26 years. With a background in respiratory and cardiac medicine, he spent several years working at Slade Hospital in the UK. His special interests include dermatology, occupational health, and obesity management. Outside of medicine, John enjoys playing golf and has a keen interest in philosophy, philately, and Renaissance art history.
Dr Andrew O’shea
General Practitioner
Dr Andrew O’Shea obtained a degree in Immunology before completing Medical School, graduating as a Doctor in 2003 from Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry. He has worked in various hospital positions in both the UK and Australia before completing Specialist General Practice training. Dr O’Shea has furthered his qualifications with a Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, a Diploma from the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, and a Certificate in Skin Cancer from the Australasian College of Skin Cancer Medicine.
Since 2012, Dr O’Shea has been practicing at Joondalup Drive. He has also been involved in teaching medical students and serves as an Examiner for the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. He is experienced in all aspects of General Practice, with special interests in Paediatrics, Men’s Health, Chronic Disease Management, Travel Medicine, Occupational Medicine, and Workers' Compensation. Outside of work, Andrew enjoys spending time with his young family and traveling, including teaching English in China and assisting rural medical clinics in South Africa.
Dr Shaun Sinclair
General Practitioner
Dr Shaun Sinclair graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine from the University of Western Australia in 2009. He has worked as a junior medical officer at SCGH and PMH and spent six months in emergency medicine in country NSW. Dr Sinclair completed his GP training and attained fellowship in 2015, and he also holds a diploma in Children’s Health. He has a particular focus on men's health and paediatric medicine. Outside of his professional life, Shaun enjoys good food and wine, follows multiple sports including AFL, and loves spending time with his family and two young children.
Dr James Buck
General Practitioner
Dr James Buck graduated from the University of Southhampton in the UK and has been a GP for more than ten years, joining the clinic in 2013. His special areas of interest include chronic disease management, occupational health and paediatrics. James enjoys fishing, swimming and looking after his young family.
Dr Jade Jagoe-Banks
General Practitioner
Dr Jade Jagoe-Banks has been at Joondalup Drive Medical Centre since 2015. In 2010, she completed her medical degree at the University of Western Australia where she graduated with honours. Dr Jagoe-Banks received her Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practice in 2015. She holds a DRANZCOG qualification, and the year she sat the practical examination, she was awarded the medal for the highest mark in Australia and New Zealand. Dr Jagoe-Banks also holds a Diploma of Child Health.
Dr Jagoe-Banks has a keen interest in Women's Health and Paediatrics, with a special interest in pregnancy. She offers shared care to her patients where she is able to look after their pregnancy until 36 weeks if eligible. In her spare time, Dr Jagoe-Banks is part of a community singing group, and she also enjoys spending time with her young family and her cocker spaniel.
Anna Selaru
Practice Manager
Anna has been in the medical industry for 15 years and has been managing Joondalup Drive Medical Centre for 10 of those years. Her passions are within General Practice and offering the best service and care to patients from a holistic team approach. Since July 2021 she has also been managing the Sonic HealthPlus Joondalup clinic with a focus on Corporate Health. When she’s not racing between the two clinics she manages, you’ll find her walking along the beach with toes in the sand or cooking up a storm for friends in the kitchen.
Medical Screening Team
Our medical screening team consists of two nurses and three occupational health technicians, all responsible for conducting preliminary screenings for all medical exams. With over 35 years of combined experience, you can be confident that you’re in good hands.
Administration Team
Our administration team, with over 20 years of combined experience at Sonic HealthPlus, is dedicated to delivering a high level of customer service. They are highly knowledgeable about our clinic and the services we offer, making them the first point of contact for patients. With extensive experience managing healthcare administration, they assist patients efficiently and effectively. Our administration team collaborates closely with clinical staff to ensure the smooth operation of all clinic aspects.

Injury Management and Prevention
Injured workers have immediate access to a range of medical personnel to ensure an integrated and prompt recovery with optimal outcomes for both the employee and employer. Our doctor’s work alongside allied health professionals and are experts in treating and returning injured workers back to the workplace as soon as it is safe to do so.
