Dr Aruna Chandran

Dr. Aruna Chandran is a medical practitioner providing occupational medical services at Sonic Health plus, Kewdale since 2017, after working for over 15 years in the field of Emergency Medicine in Australia providing tertiary, rural, remote and retrieval RFDS services. Dr. Chandran has special interest in injury management, employment related risk assessment and the provision of rural and remote site medical services.

Dr Keith Lui

Dr Lui has worked in occupational medicine for about 10 years. He works part-time at the Sonic HealthPlus Kewdale clinic providing employment medical assessments, including rail and commercial driving examinations, and treating injured workers. He graduated from the University of Western Australia in 1998, has a PhD, and was formerly an Assistant Professor at UWA’s School of Population Health. As such, his style of medical practice attempts to be evidence-based. He is the proud father of two boys.

Dr Corné de Jager

Dr Corné de Jager is an Occupational Physician Registrar at Sonic Healthplus Kewdale.  Dr de Jager obtained his medical degree in 2005 through the University of Stellenbosch (South Africa) and also completed degrees in BSc Psychology, MBA as well as a Postgraduate diploma in Occupational Health.  Over the years he has obtained extensive clinical experience in the public as well as private healthcare environments, taking on roles including Medical Officer, General Practitioner and General Medicine Registrar.  Dr de Jager enjoys dealing with the various aspects of Occupational Medicine and has a special interest in injury management and health surveillance.  He is certified as an Independent Medical Examiner by ABIME and performs Rail and OGUK medicals.

Dr Ven Venkataramani

He qualified for MBBS in 1975 and as a General Surgeon in 1981 from Madras University in India.

He had extensive experience in South Africa for over three decades. He is also trained in Paediatric Surgery. He has vast experience in treating Occupational Injuries. He is also AHP for rail medicals, all pre-employment Medicals and transport medicals.

Emma Nelson

Emma Nelson is a Physiotherapist who graduated from Charles Sturt University in 2010 and has also obtained a Graduate Certificate in Sports Physiotherapy through La Trobe University. Emma has been part of the team since 2016 and is involved with Injury management of patients and the Physical Assessments of candidates for their medicals at Sonic Health Plus.

Richard Ingram

Richard Ingram is one of our Physiotherapists with experience across many our Western Australian clinics since 2014. Richard completed his BSc in Physiotherapy in 2010 and performs varied Physiotherapy services including Physiotherapy treatment, injury management, rehabilitation and pre-placement medicals assessments.

Our busy administration team includes six professionals with extensive experience managing the administration side of the health industry. Highly knowledgeable on our clinic and the services we provide, our administration team are the first point of contact and assist all patients efficiently and effectively.

Occupational Health Technicians

Sonic HealthPlus Kewdale has three occupational health technicians who assist our doctors in the delivery of our services. Experienced and passionate in worker/workplace health care, our occupational health technicians enjoy the variety in their work and building lasting relationships with patients and businesses.
