We offer same day and/or walk-in appointments for injured workers. A short wait may be required for walk-in appointments, but please be assured our team will endeavour to see you as soon as possible.
Parking & Public Transport
We have free parking available and the clinic is conveniently located near to bus stops and on the local bus routes for the 360. 316 and 362.

Sonic HealthPlus Malaga is an occupational health clinic servicing the individual health and wellbeing of workers within Western Australia.
Offering comprehensive health services, our team of medical professionals can assist you in all aspects of your workers health; from pre-employment testing, injury management for workers on the job, or health surveillance to keep your team healthy.
With over 50 years’ experience in occupational health, you can rest assured your team will be provided with high quality and accurate medical treatment regardless of the nature of their visit.
The team at Sonic HealthPlus Malaga are all highly trained to work within occupational healthcare. Having undergone additional training in this health discipline, our occupational health doctors are passionate about maintaining the health and wellbeing of your workforce.
We have two doctors and one Emergency Nurse/Occupational Health Teachnician who all work together for the benefit of the patients we see daily. With the concern and care of our patients in mind, we provide accurate medical treatment so your workers can get back to work quicker and safer.

Dr Gousia Choudhary
Medical Practitioner
Joined Sonic HealthPlus in 2019. Dr Choudhary has previously work in a General Practice for 4 years. She performs workplace injury management, Pre- employment medicals and AMSA medicals. She enjoys the mix of injury and Pre- employment medicals. Enjoys gardening in her spare time.

Dr Kanchana Sirisuriya
Medical Practitioner
Dr Kanchana Sirisuriya is an occupational health doctor who has worked at Sonic HealthPlus Malaga since 2015. Dr Sirisuriya graduated with a degree in Medicine in 1995 and performs pre-employment medicals, work related injury management, health surveillance, and return to work programs for our patients.

Dr Niva Shrestha
Medical Practitioner
Dr Niva Shrestha is a medical practitioner who joined Sonic HealthPlus in 2015. Graduating with a MBBS from Kathmandu University in Nepal, Dr Shrestha performs workplace injury management, pre-employment medicals, health surveillance and return to work programs for our clients and enjoys the pleasant work place environment at Sonic HealthPlus Malaga.
Caitlin Davies
Admin
Caitlin has been with Sonic HealthPlus for 15 Years and has a wealth of knowledge. She is responsible for all administration duties. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her young family.

Ian Lye
Senior Physiotherapist
Ian is one of the onsite physiotherapists at Sonic Health Plus Malaga. He graduated from Curtin University in 2004 and has extensive experience in both occupational health and private practice physiotherapy settings. He is responsible for the injury management and pre-employment fitness testing at Sonic Health Plus Malaga. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family and playing the guitar.
Katie Harrison
Practice Manager
Katie is Sonic HealthPlus Malaga Practice Manager. She started with Sonic HealthPlus in 2019. She has previously worked in GP practice and Occupational Health. She is responsible for the attending the operational needs of the clinic and staff, ensuring things are running smoothly and effectively. She enjoys camping and walking.

Myan Pham
Physiotherapist
Myan Pham is the onsite physiotherapist at Sonic HealthPlus Malaga and has been working with our patients since 2015. Myan completed her Bachelor Degree in Physiotherapy with First Class Honours at Curtin University in 2010 and now treats injured workers, provides physiotherapy advice, and assists in employment medicals.

Yvonne Lau
Occupational Health Screener
Yvonne Started with Sonic HeathPlus in January 2017. She graduated in 2014 from Murdoch University with a Degree in Animal Science. She also completed her nursing diploma in 2008 in Singapore. Her role includes pre-employment health checks and drug and alcohol testing. She enjoys the friendly and caring work environment and the ability to meet interesting people every day as well as the great work/life balance.

Drug and Alcohol Testing
Drug and alcohol testing has been shown to improve productivity and help employers support workers who struggle with substance abuse.
Employment Medicals
Employment Medicals are performed to ensure an employee is fit to work in a specific environment. This comprehensive medical ensures the employee can fulfil the requirements of the role and will identify and protect the employee from potentially harmful work environments.
Health Surveillance
Health surveillance is the systematic approach to monitoring the health of an individual over time. Often a legal requirement in the workplace, health surveillance monitors exposure to noise, vibration, ionising radiation, solvents, fumes, dust, biological agents and other substances hazardous to an employee’s health.
Hearing Assessments
Hearing assessments are completed to evaluate the sensitivity of a patient’s sense of hearing. This assessment can be requested by an employer, during a health assessment, or if there is reason for concern. Hearing assessments aid our doctors in identifying any potential problem with a patient’s hearing and provide a baseline reading for workers on loud work sites.
Injury Management and Prevention
Injured workers have immediate access to a range of medical personnel to ensure an integrated and prompt recovery with optimal outcomes for both the employee and employer. Our doctor’s work alongside allied health professionals and are experts in treating and returning injured workers back to the workplace as soon as it is safe to do so.
Physiotherapy
Our skilled physiotherapists assist patients in the treatment and management of all occupational health injuries and ailments including workforce induced neck and shoulder pain, headaches, workplace injuries and other various body complaints. Our physiotherapist is skilled in musculoskeletal disorders and utilise massage, exercise, mobilisation and manipulation techniques to assist in pain management, treatment and injury rehabilitation.

Spirometry
Used to test lung function, the spirometry assessment measures the degree of airflow obstruction and is often used in health surveillance assessments when employees are exposed to potentially harmful particles during the nature of their work.
