Sonic HealthPlus Rockingham is a private billing practice. Billing is at the discretion of the General Practitioner. We accept cash, Visa, Mastercard and Eftpos. The practice bulk bills children under 16 and concession holders at the doctor’s discretion. Should you be eligible, please bring your Medicare Card, Concession Card or Veterans Affairs card to each consult. Medical record requests have a fee attached.

There is plenty of free onsite parking available. We are also located a short walk from Stop 25601 on Patterson Road after Ennis Avenue, which is serviced by bus route 825.
We provide two allocated disabled car parks which are located in front of our clinic door. We have easy access to our clinic and can offer assistance for any patients when required.

Yellow Fever accredited vaccinations, a wide range of occupational health services and medicals including; Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) medicals, UK Oil and Gas (UKOG) medicals, Helicopter Underwater Escape Training (HUET) medicals and rail medicals.
Please ring (08) 9550 7077 for an appointment. Every effort will be made to accommodate your preferred time; however emergencies will be given priority.
Appointment times are approximately 10 minutes – please tell the reception staff if you require a longer appointment time.
Every effort is made to attend to walk in patients with an urgent matter. However in some instances, it will be requested that you make an appointment at a later date and time to accommodate your needs.

The medical team at Sonic HealthPlus Rockingham have worked at the clinic for over 10 years. Our priority is to provide a quality and local medical service to the Rockingham community.
Dr Fi Ronsberg trained in Scotland and has worked in hospitals here in Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom and Norway. Dr Fi completed training in Scotland to perform UK Oil and Gas medicals.
Her interests are in all aspects of women’s health, dermatology, treating chronic pain and geriatrics. Dr Ronsberg has been working as a general practitioner in Rockingham for over five years. She also works in the Rockingham Emergency Department on weekends.
Dr Ronsberg attends regular professional conferences and meetings and takes a keen interest in updating her medical skills through courses and training.
Dr Ronsberg also enjoys water sports, cooking, travelling and languages.
Dr Garry Vanderveen studied in Dunedin, New Zealand completing Physiotherapy and then his Medicine/MBCHB degree in 1994. Dr Vanderveen’s internship was undertaken in New South Wales, followed by general practice training here in Western Australia. Dr Vanderveen worked at a south of the river general practice for 12 years prior to joining Sonic HealthPlus in Karratha, eventually joining Sonic HealthPlus West Perth in 2012. Dr Vanderveen enjoys the variety of work at our clinic and covers general practice, occupational health and travel medicine. His main interest is in injury management and return-to-work cases.
Dr James Moyle studied at the University of Western Australia where he graduated in 1992. He has been a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners since 2002.
Dr Moyle has a strong passion for general practice and family medicine. He also has a particularly keen interest in men’s health and lifestyle related health issues including preventative health practices, weight management and mental health.
Dr Moyle also enjoys playing golf, musical theatre, travel, gardening and spending valuable time with his family.
Dr Lia works with our Rockingham clinic on a part-time basis, and completes occupational health medicals, women's health medicals, injury management, AMSA, and OGUK medicals.
Our frontline team are available to help you with your queries and anything you may require whilst at our clinic. The team are dedicated to providing a high level of customer service and will be able to point you in the right direction with any queries regarding general practice and occupational healthcare. Our administration team work closely with clinical staff to ensure the smooth running of all aspects in the clinic.

Our medical screeners conduct the initial collection of general patient information alongside assessment of spirometry, audiometry, and drug and alcohol testing collection, to assist the doctors prior to patient’s medical assessments.

Sonic HealthPlus Rockingham is accredited to deliver Yellow Fever vaccinations and we also provide general vaccinations including child immunisations and seasonal vaccinations.

Our doctor’s work alongside allied health professionals and are experts in treating and returning injured workers back to the workplace as soon as it is safe to do so.
Medical assessments are performed to ensure an employee is fit to work within a specific environment, can fulfil the requirements of a role, and to protect them from potentially harmful work environments. These may include pre-employment medicals or site-specific medicals for a variety of mining or other projects.

Our clinic is government accredited to provide yellow fever vaccinations. Our clinic provides the following specialised and unique medicals:
To deliver these medicals, doctors are required online training through AMSA. Dr Fraser Barrie, Dr Karen Hill and Dr Robert Marsh are all certified to complete these medicals. These medicals are used to determine a person’s suitability for a role and fitness for working at sea. Sonic HealthPlus Rockingham, on behalf of AMSA, coordinates and administers all AMSA medical examinations leading to the issue of a Certificate of Medical Fitness under Marine Orders Part 9.
Trainees require helicopter Underwater Escape Training (HUET) medicals before performing a course. This course teaches skills and includes a theory component to improve an individual’s chance of surviving a helicopter ditching in water.
Dr Fi Ronsberg has completed training on location in Aberdeen in Scotland to deliver these medicals. These medicals are required for people working on oil and gas vessels and platforms in the United Kingdom.
