Sonic HealthPlus Thomastown is located approximately 30 minutes north of Melbourne’s central business district. Conveniently situated off Settlement Road, Sonic HealthPlus Thomastown is surrounded by a shopping and industrial region and is within walking distance to the Thomastown high street.
Sonic HealthPlus Thomastown is a general practice and occupational health clinic servicing the health needs of Victorian locals. Our encompassing general practice division includes family medicine, skin screening, chronic disease management and preventative medicine. Furthermore, as part of Australia’s leading provider of occupational healthcare, Sonic HealthPlus Thomastown offers a holistic approach to supporting the wellbeing of workers. Our occupational health services include injury management and prevention, employment medicals, health assessments and health surveillance. These services are all backed up by our general practice and family travel health services.

Our clinic is serviced by the Victorian Public Transport Network and additionally offers ample on-site parking at the front of our clinic. We are wheelchair accessible and have allocated disabled parking available for our clients. If you require any assistance getting to or from our clinic, please phone our friendly administration team who will be able to help you if required.
We offer same day and/or walk-in appointments for injured workers. A short wait may be required for walk-in appointments, but please be assured our team will endeavour to see you as soon as possible. Patients are encouraged to pre-book an appointment to avoid a delays in seeing the doctor.

Appointment times are approximately 10 minutes – please tell the reception staff if you require a longer appointment time.
Every effort is made to attend to walk in patients with an urgent matter. However in some instances, it will be requested that you make an appointment at a later date and time to accommodate your needs.
If you have a problem we would like to hear about it. Please feel free to talk to your doctor or receptionist. You may prefer to write to us or contact the Clinic Manager, on (03) 9464 1818. We take concerns, suggestions and complaints very seriously and will deal with any matters that come to us. All complaints will be followed up and in writing if requested.

Sonic HealthPlus Thomastown is a mixed billing practice. All consultations are to be paid for on the day. We accept cash, Visa, Mastercard and Eftpos. The practice bulk bills children under 16 and concession holders at the doctor’s discretion. Our clinic participates in national, state and territory recall and reminder systems, please advise if you do not wish to be registered in the reminder system. We will recall you for preventative care and follow-up treatment if required. Please advise the reception staff or doctor if you do not wish to be involved in the practice systems.
Our clinic policy is that all results are not to be given via telephone. If you would like to discuss your results with your doctor please make an appointment with the reception staff as they will be more than happy to assist.
If you wish to discuss something with our nursing staff, your call will be attended to as quickly as possible. If the nurse is unavailable at the time of your call, we will phone you back at our first available opportunity.
